I did it !!!!!!

Kings Park, Perth, le 27/06/13

So. At least one thing I can cross out of my bucket list. That was the best adventure I've ever experienced, riding my bike all around Oz. But I know it wouldn't have been enjoyable and doable without you Australians (not to mention Suiss, South Africans, Scottish, British, Germans, Flemish, Kiwis, Canadians, French, Dutch...) who shared a bit of your existence with me and made me live such a human journey. I'm very grateful and proud to have had the chance to meet each one of you.
So I'd like to thank, in order of appearance, whishing I don't forget anyone :
- Janey and Ruedi, who will remain my first Australian heroes
- Sean, who stopped the school bus on the side of the road just to talk to me
- Bill and David, who worried so much about me on the Nullarbor
- Peter, thanks to whom I met the Polkinghorne-Arthur family
- Vaughn, who never seemed tired of my forgetfulness
- Andrew, the amazing cyclist who gave me enough advices and inspiration for a lifetime on a bike
- Sam, who scared old ladies, first surfer I've met
- David, who looked for me in all Port Lincoln
- Jan and Kim, it was so nice to have someone to spoil me as soon as I got off the ferry
- Wendy and her husband (sorry i'm not sure of the spelling), who made me dream about the Grampians (well, next time !)
- Bill, who knew Clare and its bike trails very well
- Carolyn and David, thanks to whom I saw my first koala
- Jo and Ian, meeting you totally worth the sacrifice of a packet of biscuits
- Sophie, Heather, Chris, little Archie, who made Kangaroo Island feel like home (a home full of yummy pizzas !)
- Jenny, Ali and Vicky, the Mighty-Girls-Cycling-Team
- Grace and David and their house-sharing full of bikes, who are now gone on their own Big Adventure
- Cameron, who recognized me in the supermarket 2 days after spotting me on the Spirit of Tasmania
- Greggo and Robbo, the joyful campers on their fishing trip, always up to help a poor hobo-cyclist
- Rainer, hiker-biker who enjoyed seeing people after too long in the tasmanian bush
- Elien, Maarten and Bieke, who had a good stash of good mood and cheap wine, and could even speak French
- Debbie, my loyal photo-follower
- Pierre the stuntman, who casually came from Paris on his push-bike
- June and Gordon, my dear Australian Grand Parents
- John, who fulfilled his patriotic duty in putting me on a body-board
- Brad, even if I have been kicked out by his flatmate and I still don't know why
- Claudia and Charlie, the Legendary Ghost Riders
- Gina, who let me spend Christmas with her and her friends, and baby-sat my bike for more than a month
- Mary and Roger, of course, who made me feel like I was part of the family even when they called me '126'
- Mayny, Toby, Basty, Jo, Greg, Ruben, Wendy, Richard for the YOLO time I had with you
- Andrew, for our unforgettable conversations about the weather :p
- Catharine, who taught us the sweet justice
- Just-Pack-And-Leave-Graham and Beth, because even if they were soooo creepy, now I just need to think about them to have a good laugh on my own. Or maybe not.
- Sulie and Allison, Mana, Brooke and her kids who made me experience the Airlie Beach life
- Pam (and Rex and Maria) for her welcome in the tropical Townsville
- Eleanor and Neuville, of course I didn't forget you
- Jean-Louis the cyclist...hum actually no. This guy probably hunts CareBears for a living
- Vanessa and Mickael who spoiled me in the middle of nowhere
- Barry and his Barry Team, Kate and Jean. And thanks for the lights !
- Denis, Mica, JP, Sofia, Ilse, Guillaume, the almost-Katherine-locals, for their Circus and Botany skills :p
- Bev (and Jo and Georgia) who probably knows France and French culture better than I do (Tarte Tatin included)
- Geoff and Liz who almost have been my unwitting temporary support crew
- Moniek and Arian, the crazy tough Kaaskop riding their bikes across the deserts of the world
- Greg the nomad, who rode every single road of Australia on his push-bike
- Mike, an other crazy guy on a bike, who proved me that Oz can be a small place when we bumped into each other 9 month after the first time at the other end of the country
- Janey and Ruedi again, because they moved  in between :p and Nick, Mary and Larbron, and Phil and Niamh. Should I mention Anthony ? I've never met him but I've heard so much about him, I feel  like I know him :p
- Ann and Ray, rest-area friends
- Urs, thanks to whom I didn't miss half of one of the most beautiful National Park
- Segolene and Damien, touring the world because, hey, why not ?
- Harri, I promise if I ever see two French having a baguette duel, I send you a picture. But in the meantime, can "riding my bike around Australia" works for your Do Something You Wouldn't Do thing ?
- Sat Nav Sam, who witnessed my only body-board exploit and thanks to whom I had an unbelievable coral reef experience
- Kristina, who share with me this awesome magic day on the Ningaloo
- Mickael and Christine, who fulfilled their patriotic duty in feeding me with ANZAC biscuits
- Kelli, who've been welcoming me from my so special last day of the bike trip. Spoiled from the start in Vic Park, spoiled at the end in Parkwood, or how to come full circle !

May our paths cross again (except for the ones who had enough of me...) !

Et merci a vous, famille, potes et/ou collegues qui m'avez suivie a distance, rechauffant mon petit coeur d'exilée par vos petits gestes, petites pensées, petits messages.

But don't leave yet ! If you still need and excuse to mess around on the internet when you should be working, I'm still in Australia for a month, and then there'll be a spin-off of the bike trip...in France ! Coming soon ;)
